What is an Electrical Contact?

An electrical contact is a mechanical component that opens and closes electrical circuits through physical contact.

Electrical contacts are essential to a wide range of applications — including switches, relays, circuit breakers, security devices, commutators, electrical and electronic communication equipment, elevators, and automotive components.

As a core part of circuit control systems, electrical contacts enable the flow of electricity to be controlled with minimal physical force, regardless of the amount of electrical energy being managed.

Types of Electrical Contacts

RIVET 접점

Solid type 부터 Double Clad type까지 종류가 다양하며, 조립이 비교적 쉽고 접촉력이 강하며 안정적입니다. 또한, 열을 가하지 않기 때문에 대재의 Spring성을 잃지 않고 산화되지 않습니다. 재질로는 Pt계 및 Au, Pd, Ag, AgNi, AgCu, AgCdO, AgSnO, AgSnO, AgSnOlnOx, AgZnO계 등이 있습니다.

PLATE 접점

전자개폐기, 중부화 배선용 차단기, 누전차단기, No Fuse Breaker, ACB, VCB 등에 사용되며, 재료로는 AgCdO계 및 AgSnInOx계, Ag-W, Cu-W, Ag-WC계 등이 있으며, 형상은 원형, 사각형, 기타 특수형이 있습니다.

복합금형

기존 프레스 금형은 단자(스프링)을 별도 가공 후, 접점을 Assembly 하는 방식이며, 복합 프레스 금형은 단자(스프링), 접점을 동시 Assembly 하는 복수의 기술을 접목한 금형입니다. 복합 프레스 금형은 금형 부품의 단품 설계부터 조합까지 제작 공정에서의 손실을 최소화하는 설계 시스템을 통하여 금형 기술, 자동화 기술, 전자제어 기술, 프레스 기술 등의 여러 공정을 일체화 시킴으로써 인건비 절감 뿐 아니라 물류 절감과 더불어 그에 따라 오는 생산성 향상의 기대효과가 매우 뛰어납니다.
